Brindled,

ears flipped inside out
for better hearing the wind
as it flattened rosettes in your hair,
lids lowered to better focus on an unseen squirrel.
The fathomless weight of your glance
settles heavily in memories,
lopes through dreams.

  1. Thanks for posting this.

  2. Love this one, Ebby. I never get tired of how sweet and lyrical your poetic voice is. Well done. Love sent your way. – Mimi. xx

  3. Once again a snippet picture in poetic form.

  4. this is perfect lyrical grace, ebby – beloveds are always close though we ache and ache full of memories and love …

  5. Where have all the flowers gone? Me and Bobby Dylan were just talking that over so I came looking…don’t give a hoot for for the roses but sure love the wildflowers and the Lady Slipper orchids… I have a wolf loping through my dreams…a limping grizzled three legged dog follows close behind him…and the wolf waits…he’s in no hurry…and time lopes along. Love your words.
